All good things come to an end, and that is what is happening with ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. ArcGIS Web AppBuilder is scheduled for retirement and all three versions of Web AppBuilder will be retired by the end of 2025. Esri recommends migrating existing apps to ArcGIS Experience Builder. Because of this, Nearmap for ArcGIS Oblique Viewer needed a replacement. The update is here and its name is Nearmap Sync.
With Nearmap Sync for ArcGIS Experience Builder, users can seamlessly integrate our high-resolution aerial imagery with their ArcGIS GIS web maps, displayed side by side within Experience Builder (note: this requires ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 or later.)
Out with the old
Nearmap for ArcGIS Oblique Viewer required users to export our imagery and data before manually uploading those insights to their preferred mapping platform for analysis and visualization. This process is time-consuming, inefficient, and disrupts the day-to-day operations. These pain points resulted in a lesser user experience due to the level of technical expertise and effort needed.
The development of Nearmap Sync set out to solve these issues.
