Salt Lake City, UT - March 6, 2023 - Nearmap is delighted to announce that it has received the Creative Content Award at the 2023 Esri Partner Conference (EPC) held in Palm Springs, California March 4–6, 2023. This award was presented to Nearmap for delivering creative content to ArcGIS users.
Nearmap provides the most frequently updated, extensive portfolio of high-resolution aerial imagery and derived geospatial content on the market. Instant access to vertical, oblique, and city-scale 3D enables businesses and government agencies to make better informed decisions, streamline operations, and save money. With seamless integration to ArcGIS products, Esri users can quickly gain additional value from their investment, fuel digital innovation, and enable sophisticated analysis based on current, clear, comprehensive location intelligence.
Nearmap also has a proactive post-catastrophe capture program, Nearmap ImpactResponse. Nearmap photographed the aftermath of Hurricane Ian in Florida on September 29 (the day after landfall) and, as part of a humanitarian effort, provided government organizations in the affected areas with access to the resulting high-resolution imagery on September 30. Nearmap surveyed 72 areas across 34 regions, providing 14,665km2 of invaluable insights within days of Hurricane Ian to help insurers, governments, and responders rapidly determine heavily impacted areas, triage support, and quickly start recovery efforts. Using our newly-developed AI for Nearmap ImpactResponse, we automatically identified 136,000 incidents of structurally damaged roofs, debris, and other infrastructure damage. These visuals provided essential insights to aid assessment, response, and recovery efforts.
“As the leader in aerial imagery and derived content, we know it is important to provide our customers with the ability to use our data where and when their work demands,” said Tony Agresta, Executive Vice President and General Manager of North America at Nearmap. “We are honored to receive the Creative Content Award from Esri and will continue to pioneer ways to help users visualize, collaborate, and analyze data.”
Esri is the global leader in location intelligence with a network of over 2800 partners around the world. The award winners are organizations that have demonstrated innovative and creative ways to solve complex problems by using Esri’s ArcGIS software and those who have done exceptional work in advancing geographic information system (GIS) technology. Nearmap was one of 27 Esri partners that received an achievement award at the conference.
“Esri congratulates Nearmap on their 2023 EPC award in recognition of their innovative work leveraging ArcGIS software,” said Robert Laudati, Director of Global Partners and Alliances at Esri. “We are proud to partner with Nearmap to foster the use of Esri technology in support of our mutual customers.”
